Carrying Out an Inspection
This is the main job: visiting a site, recording what you find, and submitting it for review.
Step 1 — Start the inspection
- Open the inspection from Tasks or Today's Route.
- When you arrive on site, select Start.
- The status changes to in progress.
Step 2 — Complete the checklist
Work through the checklist for the inspection, recording a result for each item and adding notes or photos where needed. This is covered in detail in The Checklist.
Step 3 — Add photos and documents
- Attach photos as evidence for any item.
- Upload any supporting documents.
Clear photos make the review faster and support your findings.
Step 4 — Record findings and recommendations
Summarise what you found and any recommendations. If the checklist offers an option to generate a summary for you, you can use it as a starting point and edit it.
Step 5 — Sign and submit
- Add your signature on screen.
- Review everything.
- Select Submit.
Your inspection now goes to a manager for review. You'll see the status change to submitted.
What happens next
A manager reviews your submission and approves or rejects it. If issues were found, a re-inspection may be scheduled — it'll appear in your Tasks if it's assigned to you.
