Verifying a Certificate

Anyone can check that a BAHFSA certificate is genuine — you don't need to sign in to do this. It's useful for landlords, customers, or partners who want to confirm a certificate is real and still valid.

Two ways to verify

1. Scan the QR code

Every certificate has a QR code. Scan it with a phone camera and it opens a page showing whether the certificate is valid.

2. Enter the certificate number

  1. Go to the certificate verification page (the link is on the certificate, or ask BAHFSA).
  2. Type in the certificate number.
  3. The page shows whether it's valid, who it was issued to, and its dates.

What the result tells you

  • Valid — the certificate is genuine and current.
  • Expired — it was genuine but has passed its expiry date.
  • Not found — the number doesn't match any certificate. Double-check you typed it correctly.
tip

If a certificate can't be verified, treat it with caution and contact BAHFSA to confirm.
