Filing a Complaint
If you have a food-safety, hygiene, licensing, or related concern, you can report it to BAHFSA. You don't need an account to file a complaint.
How to file
- Open the complaint form (from the Portal, or a link shared with you).
- Choose the type of complaint (for example, food safety or hygiene).
- Describe what happened — the more detail, the better:
- The business involved and where it is.
- What the problem was and when it happened.
- For a food product, details like brand, package size, batch number, and expiry date if you have them.
- Add photos or videos if you have any — they really help.
- Choose whether to include your contact details or stay anonymous.
- Submit.
After you submit
- You'll receive a reference number for your complaint. Keep it.
- If you provided contact details, BAHFSA may follow up for more information.
What happens to your complaint

:::note Anonymous complaints You can submit without giving your name. Just note that if you stay anonymous, BAHFSA won't be able to contact you for more details or to share the outcome. :::
